Tony is a 6 pound, 8-year-old Chihuahua. He's a mellow guy around the house, but he's very energetic when it's time for a walk. He gets adorably excited when his harness comes out. He does great with other dogs, knowing when to sniff, when to play, and when to hang back (he usually hangs back). He loves everyone: children, adults, men, women. He is very friendly!At his foster home he plays with smaller dogs and gets along fine (without playing) with a large older dog. He gets along with foster home cats most of the time, though he will start chasing them if they run. Usually he will listen to a verbal command to stop chasing.Tony is a very quiet dog; he doesn't cry or make a fuss or bark when separated from his foster mom. He rides well in a car in a kennel or loose; he sometimes will want to sit in your lap.Tony's foster mom says: "He is like a Labrador stuck in a chihuahua's body. Attentive, quiet, adaptable, loving, happy."Tony came to POMDR from the Salinas animal shelter, where he was picked up as a stray.
